About IIM Rohtak
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak was established by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, in 2009. IIM Rohtak is an institute of national importance as per the IIM Act, Government of India.
It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 7th Biennial conference of the Indian Academy of Management (INDAM), hosted by the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak from January 7–9, 2022. INDAM is amongst the most prominent management conferences in India. It offers an exciting opportunity for professionals, academicians, policymakers, and thought leaders to share their contributions in various disciplines of management, preview current research, and grow professional networks. In the past, this conference has seen an attendance of over thousands of delegates from across the world.
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an unprecedented disruption in economic activities globally. The pandemic inflicted massive loss of lives and jobs yet promoting the temporary recovery of natural systems. Every business leader and thinker reflected upon the long-term economic, environmental and social well-being of the masses. As the world recovers from the pandemic, the relevance of the 'triple bottom line' (people, planet, profit) needs reinforcement. A silver lining in this dark cloud is the increased focus of the policymakers and managers on issues such as supply-chain resilience and diversification, equity-related concerns, and the environmental impact of growth.
This three-day meet will give a platform to present, educate, and discuss the triple bottom line in the post-pandemic world. The forum will be a platform for researchers and academicians to integrate the disparate yet interconnected themes of business resilience, ecological sustainability, and social well-being. To encourage greater collaboration between policymakers and researchers and to catalyze the development of policy‐relevant research, the conference will facilitate a collaborative platform to identify research priorities in the domain and suggest emergent solutions. The discussions and interactions will also help the participants in understanding the challenges and scope of the triple bottom line (TBL) framework with a broader perspective to create greater business values. The conference will also host an array of pre-conference workshops to support management scholars in improving and sharpening their skills to develop themselves as better researchers.
We look forward to seeing you at the 7th Biennial Conference being hosted by IIM Rohtak in January 2022.
Conference Theme
Triple Bottom Line
Developing Business Resilience, Ecological Sustainability and Social Well-being in Post-
Pandemic World
The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in an unprecedented disruption in economic activities globally. The pandemic has led to massive loss of lives and jobs, setback to gender equity, remote work and has raised concerns around universal health access, children’s education and its long-term impact, pervasive technologies with their ethical implications and a new geopolitical reality and world order. The pandemic has raised questions about the long-term economic, environmental and social well-being. As the world recovers from the pandemic, the relevance of the ‘triple bottom line’ (people, planet, profit) needs reinforcement. INDAM 2022 aims to provide a platform to academicians, practitioners and policymakers to discuss the triple bottom line in the post-pandemic world. The idea is to integrate the disparate yet interconnected themes of business resilience, ecological sustainability and social wellbeing. The conference aims to provide a platform for discussion on these ideas against the backdrop of the massive disruptions that we have witnessed during the pandemic.
